2023 Fundraising
PTA strives to cover ALL expenses during the school year with a single fundraiser. This year, that fundraiser takes the form of our 2023 ROCKin' Read-a-thon!
From September 25th - 29th, we'll be crushing reading goals and fundraising using an awesome online platform to track our progress. The easy system allows our friends and family to pledge their support in the form of secure credit card donations. Our goal is to fund field trips, assemblies, classroom and grade-level support, and ALL of our other PTA Programs like Trunk-or-treat and BINGO Night, for the entire school year!

Register your student to participate using the convenient online PledgeStar platform. Use the QR code below or visit PledgeStar.com/lake and click "not registered for this year's event." Enter your name and follow the prompts, where you'll be able to add your reader(s). Once registered, your students can set a fundraising goal, and you can easily select who will receive donation request emails or texts. Registration takes less than 5 minutes.
Prizes
The first 200 students to register will earn the first of MANY prizes to be distributed throughout the event. Along the way, we'll have lots of opportunities for kids to earn epic individual, classroom and school-wide prizes, including a grand prize of one EZY Roller per grade!
Keep this letter at home and use the attached calendar as your guide to our Read-a-thon. You'll hear more from teachers, the school and the PTA throughout the event. But don't hesitate to reach out to the PTA directly at LakeDolphins@gmail.com for any reason.
Your kids will be excited to share progress towards their reading goal and all of the fun happening around campus. Your friends and family will be excited to encourage reading and support your student. And the Lake Elementary PTA is excited to see what we can accomplish as we work together to encourage reading and raise funds to support the entire Lake community.

Thu. 9/21 |
Make plans to join your friends tomorrow evening for ROCKfest! Lake PTA has a special gift for EVERY DOLPHIN ON CAMPUS! We'd love to see everyone in their new concert t-shirt on Friday for spirit day. Register if you haven't and start sending pledge emails to tell friends and family about your reading goals. Any student who sends 10 emails or texts through the PledgeStar platform by the end of the day Monday, will go home with a ROCKin' gift next Tuesday. |

Fri. 9/22 |
ROCKfest! Come hang with other Dolphin families from 4:30-7:00 pm on the Lake field, to celebrate the launch of Read-a-thon. Bring chairs or blankets and plan to enjoy brand new bouncies, a ROCKin' DJ and our largest selection of food trucks yet. Register today if you haven't already and send 10 pledge requests. Any class with 50% of their students registered by the end of the day today wins a popsicle party. |

Mon. 9/25 |
ROCKin' Read-a-thon kick-off!! Register if you haven't and start sending pledge emails. And don't forget to log your reading! Any student who has sent 10 pledge requests through the PledgeStar platform by the end of the day will take home a ROCKin' gift tomorrow. |

Tue. 9/26 |
Get your reading logged! Be sure you are logging those reading minutes every day. The class in each grade with the highest average minutes read per student by the end of today wins a cool class prize and a gift for their teacher to be awarded on Wednesday. |

Wed. 9/27 |
The show must go on! You've worked hard all week to log reading time and send pledge emails, but don't stop yet! Remember, the GRAND PRIZE DRAWING IS ONLY 2 DAYS AWAY. Be sure you've sent a minimum of 15 emails or texts through the PledgeStar platform to be eligible for the grand prize drawing Friday. |

The grand finale Make a final push for reading minutes and pledge emails TODAY. The GRAND PRIZE DRAWING is taking place TOMORROW and will take place at an all-school pep rally that is not to be missed! |

Fri. 9/29 |
MIC DROP! We did it, Lake Dolphins! We ROCKed the Read-a-thon and today we celebrate. All reading minutes and pledges will be totaled and final results will be announced. One eligible student from each grade will go home with a grand prize. |
